Virtual Community Informational Session July 21, 2026

6-8pm online via Zoom

Project Scope

The project is funded by the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency (MassDevelopment). Beginning in June 2026 and ending in December 2026, the Horsley Witten Group, Inc. (HW), Dodson & Flinker, and U3 Advisors will partner with the Towns of Amherst and Hadley to help guide reuse and redevelopment of the approx. 800-acre Hampshire College campus through updated zoning recommendations. The project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 will continue through July 2026 and Phase 2 will continue through December 2026.

Phase 1

The first phase includes interviews and small group meetings with stakeholders, existing conditions analyses, development of conceptual design scenarios and a public listening session scheduled for July.

Phase 2

The second phase includes continued stakeholder engagement, a public design and visioning workshop, further scenario development and testing, draft zoning amendments, and a final report detailing zoning recommendations based on feedback and analyses completed during both phases.
